Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Library Children’s Specialist to coordinate children's programming and provide customer service at the library. You will support 0–11 year olds, implement early literacy activities, and assist patrons with cards, check-outs, and digital resources.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least one year in customer service, with some evening/weekend shifts and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent work experience or completion of apprenticeship.
• One year of customer service work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform library tasks during assigned customer service desk rotations.
• Maintain library shelf materials and keep public areas tidy.
• Assist patrons with standard library services.
• Assist patrons with library computer navigation and digital resources.
• Plan and conduct story times and children’s programming.
• Create displays and promotional materials.
• Support staff with back of house library processes.
