Job summary

The Workout Club is seeking a Kids Club Supervisor to lead a team in creating a fun, safe, and engaging space for children and families at our Londonderry location. You will welcome members, oversee activities, and maintain a clean environment while collaborating with the General Manager on coaching and recruitment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of customer service experience and leading a team.
• Minimum of one to two years of childcare experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work varied hours, weekends, and opening/closing shifts regularly or as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create an inspiring environment and welcome all members and their children.
• Engage with children through activities while prioritizing safety; administer first aid as needed.
• Onboard and train all new Kids Club employees.
• Maintain knowledge of front desk operations including tours, billing, POS, and phone handling.
• Create detailed incident reports for children as needed.
• Intervene with escalated member/guardian incidents such as child concerns and billing issues.
• Collaborate with General Manager to provide coaching, performance reviews and recruit team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling, drafting, and running reports, record keeping and inventory ordering.
• Manage daily shift operations including breaks, cleaning duties, and opening/closing tasks.

The Kids Club Supervisor leads their team in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for our children and their families. You’ll welcome and provide excellent customer service to members and guardians, oversee fun and safe activities with children, and ensure our space sparkles with cleanliness. You can build the best Kids Club team possible by collaborating with the General Manager to recruit, coach, and draft performance reviews.

Your top priority will be the safety of the children in our care while spreading joy in our club!

Job Description Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Create an inspiring environment and set the example in welcoming, greeting, and interacting with all members, prospective members, and their children
• Engaging with children consistently through activities while prioritizing safety in the Kids Club and administering first aid to children as needed
• Onboard and train all new kids club employees
• Maintain knowledge of front desk operations, including membership tours, billing and pricing, point-of-sale transactions, disputes, and answering phones
• Create detailed incident reports for children as needed
• Intervene with escalated member/guardian incidents, such as child concerns and billing issues
• Collaborate with the General Manager to provide coaching, performance reviews, and recruit team members
• Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling, drafting, and running reports, record keeping, and inventory ordering
• Run daily shift operations such as breaking employees for lunches, delegating and following up on cleaning duties, and completing opening and closing responsibilities

Qualifications Needed:

• A minimum of one year Customer Service experience and leading a team
• A minimum of one to two years of Childcare experience
• Ability to lead and work alongside a great team
• Ability to establish and foster a positive rapport with children
• Teamwork-based mentality with the capacity to deliver and receive feedback
• Ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work varied hours, weekends, and opening/closing shifts regularly or as needed

Preferred:

• Previous experience or interest in the fitness industry
• Bachelor’s degree or current continued education in early childhood education

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Enjoy working with children and able to facilitate age-appropriate games
• Friendly, enthusiastic, patient, and honest character
• First Aid, AED & Adult/Child/Infant CPR Certified – or willing to obtain certifications within 90 days of employment
• Physically – able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to run, sit, bend, kneel, and stand for the duration of a shift
• Mentally alert – able to recognize safety concerns and have a basic understanding of youth development and children’s needs
• Standing for long periods
• Basic Computer skills and operational knowledge
