Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children in our centers. Following menus created by our in-house nutritionist, you will ensure children receive nutritious fuel to learn and grow.

You'll maintain safety and hygiene in the kitchen, order supplies, and support center goals while partnering with staff and leadership. A Food Handler's License or willingness to obtain is required, with prior institutional cooking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Love for children and a desire to make a difference daily.
• Food Handler's License or willingness to obtain.
• At least one year of institutional cooking; food ordering experience desirable.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies.
• Dispense and store medication, as requested.
• Complete documentation per KinderCare and licensing requirements.
• Assist with other daily center duties as needed.
• Support center goals around enrollment, accreditation and engagement.
