Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals for children in our centers. You will follow menus created by our in-house nutritionist, maintain cleanliness, and help with daily center duties.

This role supports kids’ learning by fueling their day with nutritious choices and safe food handling practices. Requirements include a Food Handler’s License (or willingness to obtain), basic math for portions, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare meals for center population.
• Possess a Food Handler’s License or willingness to obtain.
• At least one year of institutional cooking experience; food ordering experience desirable.
• Two or more years working with children desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies.
• Dispense and store medication as requested.
• Complete timely documentation per KinderCare rules and licensing requirements.
• Assist with center duties and help achieve enrollment/engagement goals.
