Job summary

Michaels in Lincoln, NE is seeking an Events Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events, including children's birthday parties, crafts classes, and other activities, delivering a fun, engaging experience while ensuring brand standards.

You will assist customers, support checkout, participate in stocking and planograms, and maintain cleanliness, safety, and SOP adherence; prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent people skills and experience working with children’s events.
• Strong communication, written and verbal, plus listening skills.
• Able to stay organized, handle multiple tasks, and solve problems creatively.
• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate in-store events (children’s parties, crafts classes, and other activities).
• Engage customers of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Assist customers, help locate products, and provide solutions; ensure fast checkout experience.
• Cross trained in framing selling/production where applicable and participate in daily store cleanliness and stock routines.
• Maintain SOPs, safety standards, and company policies; communicate effectively with clients and store team.
