Job summary

Oakland Schools is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant to support daily activities for children ages 4-12 and help create a safe, caring, developmental environment.

You will plan activities, assist with records, and collaborate with staff and parents to evaluate and improve the program. Monday–Friday split shift; benefits included (medical, dental, vision).

• Experience working with children in an unstructured environment.

• Position Type:
  Early Childhood/ Early Childhood Support
• Assist in developing programs which provide daily activities for children ages 4-12 which will enhance and enrich their physical, social, emotional and intellectual development and provide a safe and caring environment.
• Assist in planning and providing a daily variety of materials/activities including games, art & craft projects, physical activities, snacks.
• Assist in keeping records and documentation.
• Assist in evaluating the program.
• Assist in the development of a positive working relationship with elementary building staff and parents.
• Communicate with parents, building staff and Kids Connection Supervisor.
