Job summary

Oakland Schools is seeking compassionate Preschool Building Support staff to assist in classrooms, facilitate lunch breaks, and help with daily tasks to ensure smooth operations.

You will work with teachers and students, provide support during transitions, and help create a family-style meal environment while attending required staff meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Visit multiple classrooms daily to provide support.
• Break teachers for lunch and assist with classroom coverage during breaks.
• Knowledge in setting up tables for a "family style meal" setting
• Interact with students, providing a positive and nurturing environment.
• Help with teacher tasks, such as organizing materials.
• Work one-on-one with students when additional support is required
• Assist with printing, copying, and laminating
• Fridays-coverage in classrooms when teachers need to be relieved for planning/preparation time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Attend all mandatory staff meetings when scheduled
• Complete specified trainings and attend professional development as needed

SALARY:

In accordance to the current West Bloomfield School District Community Education Salary Schedule.
