Job summary

Oakland Schools’ Oxford Early Learning Center is seeking Assistant Teachers for the 2026-27 school year. You will support classrooms with infants to school-age children, assisting with daily activities and helping create a safe, engaging learning environment.

The starting hourly pay ranges from $17.67 to $19.87 per hour based on education and the 2026-27 OELC Salary Schedule. This role requires positive interaction with children, parents, and staff and adherence to childcare licensing guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience or desire to work with preschool and school-age children.
• Assist teachers with daily activities and maintain safety.
• Follow childcare licensing guidelines.
• Maintain regular, predictable in-person attendance.

Qualifications - Education & Experience:
