Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic instructors to lead after-school chess classes for elementary students in Springfield, MA. You will use our curriculum to teach fundamentals, promote sportsmanship, and manage a lively, engaging classroom.

Join a flexible side-hustle with 1–5 classes per week, competitive pay per class, and mileage reimbursement for trips over 15 miles. Training and materials are provided; relocation not required.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or coaching children in educational or recreational settings.
• Ability to lead classes independently with engaging delivery.
• Strong discipline, safety awareness, and sportsmanship.
• Reliable transportation between school sites and strong time management.
• Availability 2:00 PM–5:00 PM on weekdays for 1–5 classes per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1–5 after-school chess classes weekly for 10–15 students.
• Follow structured curriculum to teach chess fundamentals.
• Create a lively, positive classroom environment.
• Encourage problem solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Travel to local school sites and arrive prepared.
