Job summary

Chess Wizards, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic instructors to join our after-school program in Holden, MA. You will lead engaging chess classes for elementary students using a structured curriculum and promote good sportsmanship.

Work is flexible: 1–5 classes per week, with travel between local schools. Compensation includes mileage reimbursement and full training with ongoing support and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children in teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, or similar roles.
• Ability to lead a class independently with engaging, friendly sessions.

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10-15 elementary students.
• Teach chess fundamentals using a structured curriculum.
• Maintain a lively, positive classroom environment.
• Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Follow school safety protocols during arrival, dismissal, and activities.
• Travel to various local school sites for each session.
• Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to engage students.
