Job summary

Kidcreate Studio-Bloomfield, MI is seeking talented art instructors to teach our Kidcreate Academy curriculum at the Bloomfield Studio. You’ll guide children in building real artistic skills, delivering step-by-step instruction in a fun, supportive setting.

Ideal candidates have experience with children, can lead groups, and demonstrate foundational art techniques. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement within Kidcreate Studio.

Qualifications

• A PDF art portfolio of 5–10 works or a portfolio website demonstrating the above skills is required with the application.
• Preferred candidates have experience teaching or working with children, can lead groups and manage a classroom, and can teach art techniques and build skills.
• Ideal candidates will have a degree or coursework in Art Education, Fine Arts, Design, or a related field; teaching artists and art education students are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach structured art lessons that develop skills progressively over time.
• Facilitate engaging classes for children of various ages and skill levels.
• Demonstrate drawing, painting, and other art techniques.
• Break complex skills into clear, age-appropriate steps.
• Provide constructive, encouraging feedback to students.
