Job summary

Kidcreate Studio is seeking a talented, enthusiastic Art Instructor to teach our Kidcreate Academy curriculum to children in a welcoming studio setting in Brownsville, TX. The role focuses on foundational drawing and painting techniques in a fun, supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong art background, a portfolio, and experience working with preschool to elementary-aged children, plus the ability to manage a classroom and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in drawing, painting, color theory, and composition
• Portfolio with 5–10 works or a link to a portfolio website is required
• Degree or coursework in Art Education, Fine Arts, Design, or related field
• Experience teaching or working with preschool to elementary children
• Ability to lead groups and manage a classroom effectively
• Able to teach art techniques and break skills into steps

Responsibilities

• Teach structured art lessons that develop skills progressively
• Facilitate engaging classes for children of various ages and skill levels
• Demonstrate drawing, painting, and other art techniques
• Provide consistent, constructive feedback to students
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
