Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Kid Zone Team Member to support children and members in the YMCA during weekday evenings and weekend shifts. You will help children reach their potential, ensure age-appropriate activities, and contribute to a safe and engaging environment.

Join a friendly team with training and growth opportunities. Candidates aged 15+ with child care experience are welcome; CPR/First Aid training is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in child care, not necessarily professional.
• Willingness to live out the Y mission.
• Able to perform lifesaving skills in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a fun, safe, and clean environment for children to play and learn.
• Engaging with children to maximize their experience.
• Vigilantly monitor the children and their environment.
• Prevention of risk, bullying, and misbehavior

What is needed for this job as our Kid Zone Team Member:

• Age 15+
• Have experience and comfort working in child care - does not have to be professional
• Have a willingness and desire to live out the mission of the Y
• Are able to perform life saving skills in First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training provided)
