Job summary

The Sewickley Valley YMCA is seeking staff for the Kid Zone to provide a positive, safe, and engaging space for children aged 0-7 while parents use the facility.

You will work as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer service skills, and upholding the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Shifts: Mon-Thu evenings and Sat morning; salary $13.00/hr.

• Must be able to perform physical tasks commensurate with the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive, sensitive, caring, safe and fun environment for children 0-7 in the Kids Zone.
• Interact with parents and staff, ensuring safety and quality of care.
• Demonstrate and teach YMCA core values during shifts.

Job description

The Kid Zone is a fun, interactive and developmentally appropriate space for Children age 0-7 to visit while parents use the Y facility. The incumbent's primary responsibility is to provide a positive, sensitive, caring, safe and fun environment for children in the Kids Zone. The incumbent is a team player who demonstrates strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills. The incumbent accepts, demonstrates and teaches the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Shifts available: Monday - Thursday: 4:30-8 p.m. Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Salary: $13.00/hr

All positions require the ability to obtain PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprint and National Sex Offenders Registry Clearances. If you do not have current clearances the Y will help you obtain them.
