Newlands Church is seeking a part-time Kids Ministry Operations Coordinator to provide operational excellence for the Newlands Kids ministry. The role focuses on organization, scheduling, curriculum preparation, and administrative support to keep ministries running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include managing Planning Center, preparing materials, coordinating events, handling checklists, and maintaining reports and files.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event logistics and checklists; maintain ministry docs.
• Recruit, onboard and develop volunteers; ensure a welcoming environment.

Position Summary

Provides operational excellence through organization, scheduling, curriculum preparation, systems and administrative support for Newlands Kids.

Modeling Biblical Priorities

Maintain a growing relationship with Christ, support the mission and values of Newlands Church, participate in church life, demonstrate integrity, servant leadership, and healthy relationships.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage Planning Center, schedules and databases.
• Prepare curriculum, print materials and organize supplies.
• Manage Workflows
• Maintain inventory and purchasing.
• Process background checks and onboarding.
• Coordinate event logistics and checklists.
• Maintain reports, SOPs and ministry documentation.
• Maintain Planning Center and volunteer databases.
• Organize digital files, curriculum resources, and ministry documents.
• Help oversee Child Dedications, promotions, and milestone celebrations.
• Build systems that make families feel known and cared for.
• Recruit, onboard and develop volunteers.

Weekend Operations

• Prepare classrooms before services.
• Ensure supplies and curriculum materials are ready each weekend.
• Assist with check-in operations and troubleshoot issues.
• Support team leaders throughout services.
• Help maintain a welcoming, safe, and organized environment for families.
• Assist with classroom coverage when needed on Sundays.
