Job summary

Volo Sports in Charleston, SC is seeking energetic kickball umpires for a part-time role. You will understand and enforce kickoff rules, ensure a safe and fair environment, and enjoy outdoor game-play in a casual setting.

Ideal candidates are experienced players who are reliable, punctual, and able to communicate clearly on the field. Prior umpiring is a plus but not required; transportation to fields is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have played the sport before and be familiar with the rules (Kickball/Baseball).
• Must be available for a minimum of eight weeks with Weekday 5:30pm–10:00pm or Weekend 9am–3pm slots.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from field locations.
• Must be a confident, loud individual ready to make calls on the field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, fun, social and fair environment for all players.
• Understand and fairly enforce the sport’s rules.
• Communicate with the office regarding equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc.

Job Description

This opportunity is listed for Kickball Umpires only. Kickball Umpires are responsible for understanding and enforcing rules and safety guidelines in a friendly, competitive environment. This is a part-time role, great for anyone who likes being outside, enjoys sports, and is looking for supplemental income.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, fun, social and fair environment for all players
• Understand and kindly and fairly enforce the sport’s rules
• Communicate with the office regarding any equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc.

• Must have played the sport before and be familiar with the rules(Kickball/Baseball)
• Must be available for a minimum of eight weeks, time options as follows:
• Weekday availability from 5:30pm-10:00pm
• Weekend availability between 9am - 3pm
• Must have reliable transportation to and from field locations
• Must be a confident, loud individual ready to make calls on the field
