Lube Technician

Lube Technician is responsible for performing lube related services for customers in a professional and efficient fashion.

Qualifications

  1. Education: High school diploma or the equivalent.
  2. Other: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  3. Professional personal appearance.
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Ability to meet company's production and quality standards.

Physical Requirements

  1. Surroundings: Move throughout the company facility for most of the shift and spend time outdoors in the weather and elements.
  2. Sitting: Infrequently.
  3. Standing: For prolonged periods.
  4. Walking: On a regular basis.
  5. Bending, twisting and/or stooping: On a regular basis.
  6. Kneeling and/or Squatting: On a regular basis.
  7. Lifting: Over 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  8. Reaching and/or lifting overhead: On a regular basis.
  9. Climbing: Stairs.
  10. Repetitive hand/finger movement: On a regular basis.
  11. Grasping/grabbing with hands: On a regular basis.
  12. Pushing and Pulling: On a regular basis.

Job-Specific Expectations:

  1. Performs lube oil filter services in a professional manner and performs vehicle inspections as required.
  2. Provide excellent customer service for all customers whether external and internal, specifically offering dependable vehicle service.
  3. Maintains equipment in good working condition and maintains the work area in a safe, clean and organized manner.
  4. Receive service assignments from the service writer or service manager.
  5. Have the 'lube' work finished within the allotted time. Set goals, develop skills and constantly increase efficiency skill level.
  6. Maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized.
  7. Make sure the proper paperwork is completed and filed after every job completion.
  8. Keep your technical qualifications current by finishing any required training programs.
  9. Take care that the vehicle is cleaner when the job is completed than when the customer dropped it off.
