Job Purpose

The Installation Technician is responsible for the successful installation of equipment in an efficient and consistent manner, while working with a team to achieve a common goal of timely project completion.

Technical Expertise
  • Install operating room lights, equipment booms, cabinetry, etc.
  • Pull, install, and cable (CAT 5/6), medical gas lines, and other cabling.
  • Provide reports, validate test results, and work performed.
  • Learn client-specific systems for full integration.
  • Install and mount video monitors.
  • Proficient in cable management.
  • Basic general contracting skills.
Knowledge and Abilities
  • Ability to travel overnight 80% or more.
  • Knowledge of electrical and low voltage systems.
  • Ability to read plans and follow scope of work.
  • Assess changes and request change orders.
  • Use tools like level, wrench, saws, and drills.
  • Work a standard week, with evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Work in crouched or confined spaces.
  • Preferred certifications: OSHA 10.
  • Ability to lift 70+ pounds.

  • Stay on task without supervision.
  • Communicate effectively to move onto subsequent tasks.

  • Listen and adhere to project management directions.
  • Ensure understanding and communicate professionally.

Compensation
  • $18 – $23 per hour, based on experience.
  • Benefits include Medical and 401K.
