Summary

KHI Medical is a growing medical construction company specializing in renovating operating rooms and installing surgical equipment nationwide. Our team is expanding due to our commitment to quality service, integrity, transparency, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a construction foreman capable of managing projects while working closely with crews and small renovation teams. Candidates should have a background in construction, with familiarity in electrical work, structural steelwork, and blueprint reading.


Job Purpose

KHI Construction Foremen are essential to our success, representing the company on-site and ensuring that workers, subcontractors, material deliveries, and activities are on schedule. They lead small teams on projects ranging from equipment installation to complete operating room renovations. Foremen must plan, communicate, execute, and debrief effectively to maintain consistency. They also serve as the client’s point of contact and handle administrative tasks, fostering trust and encouraging repeat business.

Foremen must be construction experts capable of leading medical equipment technicians, network specialists, and subcontractors. They should promote success, uphold high standards of quality, and foster teamwork. Specific attributes include:

  • Experience and knowledge of the construction industry
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings
  • Understanding of building codes related to electrical, fire suppression, medical gas, etc.
  • Effective planning and preparation to ensure efficiency on-site

Qualifications

Education

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work alongside the team installing equipment
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and low-voltage systems
  • Skill in reading plans, deciphering instructions, and following scope of work
  • Aptitude to assess scope changes and request change orders
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet project milestones (nationwide)
  • Physical ability to work in crouched or kneeling positions and confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
