Candidates should have a construction background and familiarity with electrical work, structural steelwork, and reading blueprints.

Job Purpose
KHI Construction Foremen are crucial to success, representing the company on-site while managing workers, subcontractors, material deliveries, and schedules. They lead small teams on projects ranging from equipment installation (surgical booms, lights, computers) to complete OR demos/renovations. Foremen must plan, communicate, execute, and debrief effectively to ensure consistency. They also serve as the company's face to clients, handling administrative tasks and communications to build trust and foster repeat business.

Foremen must be construction experts, capable of guiding medical equipment technicians, network specialists, and subcontractors. They should foster success, uphold quality standards, and promote teamwork. Specific requirements include:

• Experience and knowledge in construction industry
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings
• Understanding of building codes for electrical, fire suppression, medical gas systems
• Pre-event preparation and planning for efficiency
• Clear communication of plans to team and clients
• Managing changes per KHI priorities (client, safety, efficiency)
• Providing consistent updates to clients
• Debriefing with crew, management, and clients for continuous improvement

Qualifications

Education

• High School diploma required; college degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 3+ years in leadership roles
• Ability to travel nationwide (80% or more)
• Experience working with installation teams
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, low-voltage systems
• Ability to read plans and follow scope of work
• Assess scope changes and request change orders
• Flexibility to work evenings/weekends to meet project deadlines
• Ability to work in confined spaces, crouched or kneeling positions
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

Proficiency in Computers

• Google Drive, Calendar, Word, Spreadsheets, Email, Internet

Compensation
Starting salary: $60k-$85k based on experience. Benefits include Medical and 401K retirement plan.
