Typical day for a Restaurant General Manager includes:

• Managing profitability by following cash control/security procedures, inventory, labor, financial review, and actions.
• Recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of staff.
• Training staff in operational excellence.
• Conducting inventory counts biweekly.
• Maintaining cleanliness and ensuring excellent guest experiences.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year as General Manager in food service or retail, with Profit & Loss responsibility, preferably in QSR.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to close at least two nights weekly.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull heavy objects, stand/walk constantly, and operate equipment safely.

Compensation varies based on skills, experience, location, and other factors, discussed during hiring. Estimated starting ranges:

• Maryland: $53,000 - $58,000
• New York: $55,000 - $60,000
• NYC: $65,000 - $70,000
• Cincinnati, OH: $54,000 - $58,000
