Job summary

KFC is seeking a Chicken Cook to help ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a friendly, helpful person who enjoys working with others and values teamwork.

The successful candidate will cook and prepare menu items using ovens, fryers, and grills, keep equipment clean, restock stations, and maintain a tidy kitchen. Applicants must be at least 16, have reliable transportation, and be able to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Hand bread our World Famous Chicken.
• Prepare products in the kitchen (Chicken-on-the-bone, Tenders, Nuggets, Sandwich Filets, French Fries).
• Use kitchen equipment including ovens, fryers, grills, and other equipment.
• Maintain cooking equipment with cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Restock products and workstations.
• Maintain a clean work environment through cleaning tasks.

The successful KFC Chicken Cook is able to:

• Hand bread our \World Famous Chicken\
• Prepare numerous products in the kitchen, including Chicken-on-the-bone, Tenders, Nuggets, Sandwich Filets, French Fries, etc.
• Using food preparation equipment including ovens, fryers, grills and various kitchen equipment
• Maintain the cooking equipment by performing required cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Restocking product and workstations
• Maintaining a clean work environment by completing general clean tasks including wiping workstations, cleaning equipment, washing dishes, and sweeping and mopping floors

Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age. No previous experience required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and training materials.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Must get along well with coworkers and guests through a positive and friendly demeanor.
