Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Akron is hiring a Keyholder/Shift Supervisor to manage daily retail operations and assist with training service participants. You will handle POS transactions, opening/closing procedures, and cash deposits while ensuring merchandise is prepared for resale and safety standards are met.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and leadership responsibilities within a community-focused nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

Able to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
Operate cash register and perform stock duties while delivering customer service.
Valid driver's license and proof of insurance (preferred).
Basic mathematical skills.
Previous supervisory experience in customer service with retail or food service is desirable.

Responsibilities

Operate the cash register and POS system accurately and efficiently.
Perform opening and closing procedures and nightly cash deposits.
Inspect textiles and items; sort, hang, tag, price, and prepare them for resale.
Promote the development of service participants and ensure a safe work area.
