Job summary

Biogen is seeking a seasoned professional to develop and execute Key Medical Expert (KME) and Key Account engagement plans with the Regional Sales Director to advance the long-term Biogen MS portfolio.

You will drive a ONE BIOGEN strategic approach for key accounts, identifying opportunities to improve patient access and quality of care, while coordinating with sales and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in pharma/biotech; 2+ years in MS or related chronic disease.
• Account management experience with complex accounts; cross-functional exposure.
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement; strong presentation and communication skills.
• HIPAA/privacy awareness; ability to navigate regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Key Medical Expert (KME) and Key Account engagement plans with the Regional Sales Director.
• Facilitate a ONE BIOGEN strategic engagement approach for key accounts and identify opportunities to improve patient access to care.
• Interact regularly with KMEs, prescribers and administrators to understand needs and identify partnerships.
• Collaborate with local sales, marketing, managed care and patient services to boost engagement and trust with key customers.

What You Will Do

• Develop and execute Key Medical Expert (KME) and Key Account engagement plans with the Regional Sales Director to ensure long-term success of the Biogen MS portfolio.
• Facilitate a “ONE BIOGEN” strategic engagement approach for key accounts in your territory; identify opportunities and evolving trends that increase patient access to care and improve quality of care.
• Conduct regular interactions with top KMEs, Prescribers, and Administrators to understand account needs and identify partnership opportunities.
• Collaborate routinely with local sales teams and cross-functional partners (marketing, managed care, patient services) to improve account engagement and increase Biogen trust and value with key customers.

Preferred Skills

• 7+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience; ideally 2+ years in MS disease state or related chronic disease.
• Account management experience (navigating complex accounts); previous management and/or cross-functional experience strongly preferred.
• Technical knowledge of healthcare reimbursement; strong presentation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to establish relationships through trust; comfortable with ambiguity; strong problem-solving.
• Strong managed care knowledge (regional/national); HIPAA and similar privacy laws knowledge; compliance with OIG and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

• BS/BA required; MBA preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required (driving is essential).
• Demonstrated long‑term track record of adherence to Corporate Compliance Policies.
