Job summary

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks a seasoned Key Account Representative to manage relationships with assigned Key Accounts customers, serving as the primary contact to ensure satisfaction. You will provide tailored services, maintain customer data in UMAX, resolve service issues, coordinate billing and payments, and communicate proactively about changes and new offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Associate degree plus two years of relevant customer service/IT experience accepted.
• High School diploma plus four years of relevant experience accepted.
• Substitution rules allow NYC government work experience in lieu of some requirements.

Responsibilities

• Relationship Management: build and maintain strong relationships with assigned Key Accounts customers; primary point of contact.
• Customized Support: provide tailored services for high-use customers; maintain accurate contact data in UMAX.
• Issue Resolution: respond to inquiries; escalate complex issues to supervisor when needed.
• Billing and Payment Coordination: ensure timely billing and revenue collection; offer flexible payment solutions.
• Proactive Communication: inform customers of service changes, disruptions, and new offerings; collaborate with internal teams.
• Transactions: perform necessary BCS/UMAX transactions; support reporting and performance tracking.
