Job description

Are you an experienced salesperson with a passion for the beverage industry? Do you have a knack for developing strategic sales plans and fostering strong customer relationships? Guayaki Yerba Mate is seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager to drive sales and expand our market presence within the Non-Traditional channel in the Eastern region.


We're looking for a dedicated, hardworking Key Account Manager (KAM) to oversee and nurture Guayaki's non-traditional foodservice business with clients like Compass, Aramark, and Sodexo. The role involves driving distribution, volume, and execution of programming through the food service channel via the Big Three contract feeders. You will develop business plans with assigned accounts to grow Guayaki's consumer presence in foodservice and vending segments. Your efforts will align our mission with customer strategies, creating mutually beneficial partnerships.


What you'll do for Guayaki:
  1. Build an annual business plan (BP) for each customer to meet revenue, volume, profit, and market share goals through joint planning with assigned Key Accounts.
  2. Achieve business plan goals across the region and managed KA accounts; proactively monitor and adjust plans as needed for operational and financial impacts.
  3. Identify and develop ad hoc opportunities including execution planning, impact assessment, and investment considerations.
  4. Manage in-store execution and activation through collaboration with distribution partners, third-party merchandisers, and field marketing teams.
  5. Develop promotional programs aligned with retailer strategy and Guayaki's business plan, utilizing data and customer insights to maximize ROI.
  6. Create and deliver customer presentations for annual planning, reviews, product updates, and issue resolution, emphasizing our mission and impact.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate consumer insights into actionable sell stories supporting market and store execution.
What you'll bring to the table:
  • 3+ years in the CPG industry (beverage preferred), working with clients like Compass, Sodexo, Aramark, and Vistar at HQ and sector levels.
  • 5+ years' experience in non-traditional channels such as vending, collegiate, healthcare, and workplace.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record and compliance with DOT standards.
  • Experience with various routes to market: DSD, warehouse, broadline distributors (Vistar, US Foods, Sysco, Dot Foods).
  • Additional relevant experience: office coffee service, retail HQ connections (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware).
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, planning, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Strategic Business Planning: Build comprehensive annual plans with KAs to meet financial and market goals through joint planning.
  • Goal Achievement: Consistently meet regional and account targets, proactively managing adjustments for operational or financial impacts.
  • Opportunity Utilization: Identify and maximize ad hoc opportunities, develop execution plans, and allocate budgets effectively to support growth.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Travel 20-30%.
  • Full-time remote position within the US.
  • Willing to work additional hours as needed.
