Job Description

Meade Engineering is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) to deepen relationships and drive expansion within our most strategic client partnerships in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) industry. This is your opportunity to shape the hypergrowth of an established engineering firm by owning high-impact accounts and unlocking new revenue potential. This role is critical to our business development strategy, focused on growing key relationships while meeting and exceeding an established expansion quota.

The ideal candidate brings expertise in managing key enterprise accounts in the engineering, technology, or security sectors, a proactive approach to client management, and a track record of turning opportunities into outcomes. This position requires cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

Job Duties

  • Cultivate and manage long-term relationships with high-value clients, acting as their trusted partner and the main point of contact for all strategic needs.
  • Own and exceed an annual expansion quota by identifying and securing new opportunities within existing accounts, including upselling and cross-selling relevant services.
  • Develop tailored account plans to align the company's expertise with client goals, ensuring retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to develop innovative, solution-driven proposals that respond directly to client challenges and market trends.
  • Track market movements, competitor offerings, and client feedback to proactively adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with clients, presenting key performance metrics, strategic updates, and opportunities for growth.
  • Coordinate with marketing and proposal teams to develop targeted collateral that supports account-specific initiatives and campaigns.
  • Create and maintain detailed records in CRM system to forecast growth opportunities, track expansion efforts, and report regularly on progress toward goals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings to deepen relationships and enhance visibility.
  • Partner with Field Marketing Managers, Project Management and Delivery teams to ensure client success is prioritized and project delivery remains aligned with expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of documented, quota-exceeding experience in enterprise account management or business development.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales and expansion quotas through strategic relationship management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts and long sales cycles.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with MEP systems, services, and industry dynamics.
  • Established network of contacts in the MEP, engineering, or construction sectors.
  • Understanding of project delivery models, engineering consulting structures, and procurement processes in commercial and institutional sectors.
