This is a Direct Hire, full-time, onsite position located in Buena Park, CA.
Position Overview
The Key Account Manager will manage day-to-day relationships with assigned customers, serving as a trusted point of contact while supporting account performance and growth. This role will independently oversee account activity, monitor demand, bookings, backlog, and forecast trends, and proactively respond to changes in customer needs. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial awareness, relationship-building skills, and the ability to collaborate across operations, planning, and engineering to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, building strong stakeholder relationships and leading regular communications, account updates, and status reviews.
- Monitor bookings, backlog, forecasts, and customer demand signals, proactively identifying declines, surges, schedule changes, and other trends requiring action.
- Support commercial account strategy, including pricing updates, quotes, contract alignment, and identification of upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, planning, and engineering to align customer expectations with delivery schedules, capacity, and operational priorities.
- Manage order status, delivery commitments, customer issues, new program launches, and engineering changes, driving timely resolution and clear communication.
- Maintain accurate account information within ERP/CRM systems and analyze account performance and customer trends to support strategic and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant professional experience and training.
- Demonstrated experience in key account management, account management, inside sales, manufacturing, aerospace and defense, or a related customer-facing commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of customer demand signals, forecasting, bookings, backlog, pricing, and customer behavior.
- Experience utilizing ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office to manage account information, reporting, and day-to-day business activities.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to independently manage customer needs while effectively partnering with cross-functional teams.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive base salary of up to $150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. The organization is currently evaluating an additional commission structure. Additional benefits and total rewards details will be discussed throughout the interview process.
