Role Description

The KEY ACCOUNT CLIENT SERVICES - IMPORT role is a full-time, on-site position located in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for managing key import accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the shipment lifecycle. Daily activities include coordinating import shipments, monitoring cargo status, resolving service issues, and communicating updates to clients and internal teams. The position involves preparing and reviewing documentation, supporting accurate billing, and working closely with operations and finance to ensure timely and compliant movements. The team member will also analyze account performance, identify service improvements, and contribute to process efficiencies that enhance the client experience.

Qualifications

• Strong client services and customer service skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and relationship management.
• Effective communication abilities, including clear verbal and written communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
• Basic understanding of finance related to logistics, such as billing, cost awareness, and invoice review.
• Experience in international trade, freight forwarding, or logistics (import operations experience strongly preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with common office software and the ability to learn logistics and shipment-tracking systems.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation, data entry, and client information.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to team collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Relevant education or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is beneficial.
