Job summary

The Salvation Army in Clarksburg, WV is seeking a Seasonal, full-time Bell Ringing Supervisor to recruit, train and coordinate bell ringers across kettle sites, ensuring adequate staffing to meet location needs.

You will interview and select staff and volunteers, schedule and supervise work, maintain up-to-date records of hours and kettle income, and report on program status while upholding Salvation Army policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• One year experience with kettle fundraising or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, screen and select bell ringing staff and volunteers.
• Plan, schedule and assign work across kettle sites; supervise and check accuracy of tasks.
• Maintain up-to-date records and databases for daily kettle income information.

Location: Clarksburg, WVSchedule/Hours: Seasonal, full-time (may work 6 days weekly)Hourly Range: $10.00 - $11.00 hourlyThis position is responsible for:Recruiting, training, coordinating, and monitoring the work of seasonal employees and volunteer bell ringers ensuring ample staff to meet location needs; prepare records and reports regarding the same.Key Responsibilities:Interviews, recruits, screens and selection of bell ringing staff and volunteers ensuring all sites are covered effectively.Plans, schedules, and assigns work of staff and volunteers; instructs in proper methods and procedures; checks and approves work in progress and upon completion to ensure accuracy and completeness as well as compliance with Salvation Army policies and procedures.Maintains contact with staff and volunteers throughout their service; answers questions, concerns or problems; recognizes workers through correspondence by mail, in person or by phone.Prepares and maintains up-to-date records and databases for daily kettle income information; prepares reports regarding the status of the kettle program; provides staff and volunteers with documentation of the hours worked.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.Duties are usually performed seated.
