Job summary

KETCH Kansas Elks Training Center for the Handicapped in Wichita, KS is seeking an HR Recruiter to support recruitment, hiring, receptionist duties, and training. This role emphasizes prescreening Direct Care applicants by phone and in person, conducting interviews, and coordinating background checks to ensure compliant, high‑quality hires.

You will manage tracking reports, candidate follow-up, and onboarding support, including safety and introductory training during new hire orientations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (preferred) or related field.
• Six months work experience in HR recruitment and/or HR staff training.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record and dependable vehicle.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or 1/4 of own body weight.

Responsibilities

• Support in recruiting, hiring, receptionist duties, and training.
• Prescreen Direct Care applicants by phone and in-person, interview, reference and background checks.
• Coordinate job fairs and track reports; follow up with applicants and maintain documentation.
• Perform receptionist duties and facilitate safety and introductory training during new hire orientations.

Our HR recruiter is responsible for providing support in recruiting, hiring, receptionist duties, and training. Responsible for prescreening Direct Care applicants by phone and in-person, interviewing, reference checking, background checks, job fairs, tracking reports, as well as applicant follow-up and documentation. Also responsible for receptionist duties, and facilitating safety and introductory training during new hire orientations.

Requirements
