Seeking an independent and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team!

We’re focused on providing our staff with the right tools to deliver excellent service and care. Our hospital is equipped with digital radiography, in-house labs, CO2 laser, ultrasound, oxygen cage, nebulizer, EKG, cryosurgery, and TPLO/TTA procedures.

Who are we looking for?

Applicants should have a strong work ethic, positive personality, excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment, be a team player, and passionate about providing exceptional care to animals and clients.

Schedule:

Rotating shifts: open to close 7:00AM-6:30PM, and one weekend split shift (either Saturday or Sunday, 7:30AM-12:30PM and 3:30PM-6:30PM). Availability for holidays and weekends is required.

Responsibilities:
  1. Monitoring animals' health and comfort, recognizing emergencies, and reporting concerns.
  2. Documenting treatments and abnormal activity.
  3. Walking dogs and cleaning up after them.
  4. Feeding and providing water to animals on schedule.
  5. Washing dishes, bowls, and cleaning litter boxes.
  6. Disinfecting kennels and cages.
  7. Changing soiled bedding and replacing with clean bedding.
  8. Washing, drying, and folding laundry.
  9. Bathing animals as needed and before leaving.
  10. General housekeeping of animal housing, food prep, and laundry areas.
  11. Administering oral or topical medications, including flea and tick treatments.
  12. Checking animals in and out for boarding, labeling belongings and medications, and managing ID collars.
  13. Performing other tasks to ensure animal health and safety.
