Job summary

Woodmoor Veterinary Hospital & Pet Lodge in Monument, CO is seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our compassionate, team‑oriented practice. You’ll provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets, maintain kennels, and assist with grooming and handling dogs and cats of all sizes.

Qualifications

  • Previous animal care or kennel experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

Provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets (feeding, walking, cleaning)

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennel areas and pet lodge facilities

Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff

Assist with bathing, grooming, and handling pets of all sizes

Deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners

What We’re Looking For:

A true love for animals and a strong work ethic

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes

Able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed

Previous animal care or kennel experience is a plus, but not required

Compensation

  • Base hourly rate of $14.50 - $17.00 DOE
  • Eligible for periodic bonus (where applicable)
