Job summary

RIDE CARE INC is seeking a Transport Driver to move clients to needed care within and outside our contracted area in a mental health setting. You will work nights and weekends, coordinating routes with dispatchers and maintaining driver logs for compliance.

The role requires a valid license, excellent driving history, English proficiency, and data-entry skills to document miles, calls, and incidents for monthly reporting to the Field Supervisor.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive long- and short-distance transports for clients to care facilities.
• Coordinate routes and schedules with dispatchers.
• Maintain a detailed log of hours and submit monthly reports to Field Supervisor.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance and report defects immediately.
• Enter data into Samsara, track calls, incidents, and miles driven.
• Interact professionally with staff, clients, and families in stressful situations.
• Collaborate with Directors to update facility contacts and improve efficiency.

Job description

The Transport Driver plays a key role in our work of transporting clients to needed care within and outside our contracted area. They are often the only in-person representative of the company, providing excellent customer service to facility staff, clients and family members in a mental health setting.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLong- and short-distance driving, coordinating routes and schedules with dispatchers.Retrieve and secure clients and personal belongings for trip to destination facility.Maintain detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and company policies, submitting monthly to Field Supervisor.Ensure mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected promptly, reporting defects, accidents, and violations immediately.Perform daily maintenance of vehicle (refueling, cleaning, snacks/water, etc.)Interact with facility staff, clients, and family members in a professional manner.Address problems and create solutions, collaborating with Dispatcher and elevating problems to Field Supervisor when necessary.Enter data into Samsara system, maintain logs of calls, incidents, miles driven and more, submitting reports monthly to Field Supervisor.Work collaboratively with Director of Operations and Field Supervisors to update and maintain a list of facility contacts.Drive excellence by creating efficiencies that will reduce the arrival time for transports (under the 2-hour maximum).
