Job summary

KEA is seeking an Account Manager for the United States to lead strategic client relationships within an event agency context. The role focuses on expanding revenue across North America by building trust with senior stakeholders and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

You will own account planning, negotiations, and the pursuit of new opportunities while monitoring profitability and leveraging data-driven insights to inform decisions.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience managing and growing key client accounts within an event, experiential, communications, or creative agency environment.
  • Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and identify opportunities for account development and revenue growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets, profitability, and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior-level clients and internal teams.
  • Experience guiding cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities without compromising quality.
  • Comfortable using data, insights, and reporting to support client and commercial decisions.
  • Experience understanding and managing P&L performance and collaborating effectively with Finance teams.
  • Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solutions-focused in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience working with clients across North America and Europe is preferred.
  • Experience with international or cross-cultural teams is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI or automation tools and an interest in improving processes are valued.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Grow and develop strategic client accounts by strengthening partnerships, identifying opportunities, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and serve as a strategic advisor throughout the client lifecycle.
  • Develop newly established North American accounts into long-term partnerships by building relationships at VP and C-suite levels and identifying opportunities to expand services.
  • Lead account planning, commercial discussions, contract negotiations, and strategic conversations while balancing client value with commercial objectives.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across North America by leveraging international client relationships and collaborating with global account directors.
  • Monitor account performance, financial results, budgets, and profitability, using data and insights to inform commercial decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure client expectations, quality standards, and business objectives are consistently met.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, introduce smarter ways of working, and leverage AI, automation, and technology where appropriate.
  • Maintain strong communication across markets and cultures while supporting the growth of the North American business.
  • Take ownership of challenges, raise concerns proactively, and help teams navigate changing priorities while maintaining strong client relationships.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a KEA Account Manager - Event Agency based in United States.

This role is focused on growing strategic client relationships and expanding business across the North American market. You will act as a senior client advisor, building trust with key stakeholders while identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships and increase revenue. The position combines account leadership, commercial strategy, relationship management, and business development within a fast-paced event and experiential environment. You will work across markets and cultures, collaborating with international teams and leveraging a global client network to create new opportunities.
