The analyst will lead requirements discovery, translate needs into user stories and process flows, and support PM delivery across multiple small IT initiatives.

Responsibilities include coordinating timelines, managing scope, and using JIRA to track artifacts. A Bachelor's degree or 2+ years in IT BA is required; contract-to-hire is available.

Our client, is seeking a Business Analyst II to join their team. As a Business Analyst II, you will be part of the Information Technology department supporting project and PMO-aligned delivery efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong requirements discovery and documentation skills, the ability to translate complex business needs into clear user stories and process flows, and the confidence to manage timelines, scope, and stakeholder expectations across multiple small initiatives.

What's the Job?

• Independently lead requirements discovery, analysis, documentation, validation, prioritization, and traceability for complex IT initiatives.
• Gather and refine extensive requirements, translating them into comprehensive functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, and solution specifications.
• Support PM work by helping manage timelines, scope, and coordination across multiple small projects, including vendor relationship considerations.
• Use JIRA to document, track, and maintain requirements and work artifacts while collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Lead business analysis support for solution validation, testing support, user acceptance testing coordination, and implementation/transition activities.

What's Needed?

• "A" level candidate with extensive experience gathering requirements and supporting PM processes as part of delivery.
• Proven experience writing user stories, creating mockups, and developing process flows, with strong familiarity using JIRA.
• Experience working with multiple (small) projects simultaneously while managing timelines, scope, and stakeholder expectations.
• Ability to analyze requirements for completeness, feasibility, dependencies, risks, and impacts, and provide recommendations to project leadership.
• Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; or at least two (2) years of experience as an IT Business Analyst I or equivalent business analyst role with demonstrated progression in responsibility and independent decision-making.
