Job summary

Boeing Aerospace Operations in Seymour Johnson AFB, NC is seeking a KC-46 Repair/Modifications Technician to support the KC-46A Pegasus Integrated Sustainment Program. The role is onsite at Seymour Johnson AFB and requires travel up to 25%.

You will assemble, disassemble and modify aerospace systems, troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical subsystems, validate tests, document procedures, and ensure flight-worthiness of repairs. An active U.S. Secret Clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices.
• Ability to travel 15%-25% of the time both domestically and internationally.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience reading and interpreting technical publications and/or maintenance manuals.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working from heights & using fall protection equipment with weight limitations.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace components.
• Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
• Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Troubleshoots pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
• Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
• Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
• Oversees training.
• Works under general direction.
