Job summary

GMRE is seeking a KC-130H/T Commander Pilot / Site Lead to oversee Functional Check Flights operations at Fleet Readiness Center East (MCAS Cherry Point, NC). The role demands extensive flight experience, leadership, and the ability to coordinate with government personnel and maintenance teams to ensure safety and mission success.

Responsibilities include planning and executing training flights, maintaining regulatory compliance, and developing qualified pilots.

Qualifications

• Must be a fully qualified KC-130H/T pilot and meet flight-hour prerequisites.
• At least 700 hours of total military flight time (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Exhibits responsibility for flight safety, instructional quality, pilot standardization, and development of pilots and Aircraft Commanders.
• Conducts initial, transition, requalification, continuation, upgrade, mission, and remedial training for KC-130H/T pilots.
• Instructs aircraft systems, procedures, performance, and mission planning.
• Leads preflight briefings, post-flight critiques, and training debriefings.
• Documents trainee performance and recommends progression or removal from training.
• Develops and reviews lesson plans, scenarios, and training materials.
