Job summary

Hyliion is seeking a Field Service Engineer to supervise on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of KARNO Power Modules at customer sites nationwide. The role begins with a training period in Milford, OH and transitions to field work across the United States, with substantial travel.

You will support defense and data center deployments, working with engineering teams and remote support to resolve issues and ensure safe operation of high-voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering.
• 5 years of field service and troubleshooting experience.
• HV electrical experience up to 800V required.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and alarm-based troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and break-fix support for deployed KARNO units.
• Diagnose issues using remote monitoring systems and logs.
• Troubleshoot controls, instrumentation, and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Supervise installation work at customer sites and provide technical support.
• Serve as the primary customer-facing technical contact during installations.
• Complete service reports and logs; communicate field issues to engineering.
