About this job

Help a student embrace the challenge of sight loss and live well in Karate classes, designed to help blind and visually impaired students develop agility, strength, and speed, improving muscle tone and endurance.

  1. Assist students in executing exercises performed by instructor.
  2. Communicate issues or concerns with instructor as needed.
  3. Set up mats for class.
  4. Clean and store mats.
  5. Assist instructor as needed.
Qualifications
  1. No Karate experience needed.
  2. Ideal candidate will be energetic.
  3. Create a safe and supportive learning environment for students.
  4. Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
  5. Availability on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  6. Volunteers can work one or both shifts.
