Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking an Advanced Psychiatric Practitioner (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our SNF Psychiatry team in Montana, serving geriatric patients across Kalispell, Whitefish, and Eureka. You will provide in-person psychiatric care within Skilled Nursing Facilities and collaborate with psychiatrists to develop and implement treatment plans.

The role offers a generous compensation package with base salary plus incentives, comprehensive benefits, and flexible PTO.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Montana by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a psychiatry focus.
• Licensed by the Montana Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA).
• 1 year of Geriatric Psychiatry experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
