Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions in Montana seeks an Advanced Psychiatric Practitioner (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our SNF Psychiatry team, providing psychiatric care to geriatric residents in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities. You will assess mental status, diagnose DSM-5 disorders, and develop treatment plans with psychopharmacology options.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Montana by the Board of Nursing with a psychiatry focus.
• Licensed by the Montana Board of Pharmacy to prescribe controlled substances (DEA).
• 1 year of geriatric psychiatry experience.
• 1 year of treatment in Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess patients’ mental status based on symptoms.
• Diagnose DSM-5 disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological treatments as appropriate.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Advanced Psychiatric Practitioner (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in Montana. Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Montana by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Montana Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
