The position includes day shifts (3×12-hour) and optional night shifts with differential; responsibilities extend to K9 care, log maintenance, and escorting personnel while maintaining high professional standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Complete Banner Health approved K9 training program within three months.
• NPCA Handler certification within 12 months, renewed annually.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and provide safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Patrol facilities with K9 to enforce parking regulations and monitor traffic.
• Investigate incidents, complete written reports, and maintain logs.
• Operate alarm systems, escort patients and staff, assist with room searches.
• Maintain professional appearance and meet safety/competency requirements.
• Complete annual defensive tactics, pepper spray, and crisis intervention training.
• Orient new officers and assist investigations on special projects.
• Provide daily care for the K9, including feeding, exercising, grooming, and kennel maintenance.
• Report to Security Supervisor and coordinate with internal staff and law enforcement.

Three years of security experience
