Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must obtain a Known Traveler Number (KTN) within four to six weeks of employment.
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge within four to six weeks of employment.
• Must be able to obtain a Security Threat Assessment (STA) for Airport Badge within four to six weeks of employment.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and compliant REAL ID standards or a valid US passport.
• Must pass the applicable Contract Testing and Certifications within four to eight weeks of employment; maintain certification requirements.
• Adequate transportation to transport the Canine and Crate (inside the vehicle) to/from the work location; vehicle must have climate control.
• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs and endure varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in CCSP related training to search cargo and identify potential threats
• Conduct authorized representative duties related to X-Ray, physical search, and explosive trace detection as needed
• Perform Junior Handler duties while commanding a trained working dog
• Responsible for maintaining training records
• Care and maintenance of assigned certified canine, including indoor living at the employee’s residence with periodic inspections
• Maintain all job-related certifications and required security clearances
• Willing to operate a company vehicle during on-site training
• Work hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays; travel may be required
• Other duties as assigned
