Job summary

Constellis is seeking a Junior Handler to support cargo screening in line with TSA rules. You will complete a 4-8 week training and certification before mobilization to the location, with duties including X-ray screening, canine handling, and maintaining training records.

Role requires US citizenship, ability to obtain security clearances, valid driver's license, and stamina for physical work up to 100 lbs. Schedule includes nights/weekends; on-site work with potential travel.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must have held citizenship for a minimum of three years prior to date of application.
• Must be able to obtain a Known Traveler Number (KTN) within four to six weeks of employment.
• Must be able to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge within four to six weeks of employment.
• Must be able to obtain a Security Threat Assessment (STA) for Airport Badge within four to six weeks of employment.
• Must have adequate transportation to transport assigned Canine and Crate to/from work location with climate-controlled vehicle.
• Must be able to pass Contract Testing and Certifications within four to eight weeks and maintain requirements.
• Valid US driver's license with good driving record; REAL ID compliant or passport present.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage time and priorities.
• Problem solving skills with analytical thought process.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs and stand long hours; physical exertion required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in CCSP related training to search cargo and identify potential threats.
• Conduct authorized representative duties related to X-Ray, physical search, and explosive trace detection as needed.
• Perform Junior Handler duties while commanding a trained working dog.
• Responsible for maintaining training records.
• Care for and maintain assigned canine; canine may live in employee's residence under approved conditions.
• Maintain all job-related certifications and required security clearances.
• Operate company vehicle during on-site training.
• Work hours vary; nights, weekends, and holidays may be required; travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
