Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience handling an explosive detection dog in operational environments.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to obtain KTNs and badges within 4–6 weeks of employment.
• Must be able to pass required program certifications within 4–6 weeks.
• Good oral and written communication skills with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training to search cargo and identify threats.
• Perform X-Ray, physical search, and trace detection duties as needed.
• Maintain training records for handler and canine.
• Care for and maintain the assigned canine, including residence readiness and inspections.
• Work conditions include outdoor and indoor environments, travel, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned.
