Job summary

Constellis is seeking a Handler responsible for screening cargo under TSA rules, including dog-assisted searches and related training. The role requires completing a 4–8 week training and certification prior to deployment, with on-site work and variable hours, including nights and weekends.

Strong security clearances and physical capability are essential. The position involves travel, outdoor work in varying weather, and maintaining extensive certifications.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required and at least three years of citizenship history.
• 1–2 years of documented explosive-detection dog handling in an operational environment.
• Must obtain KTN within 4–6 weeks of employment.
• Must obtain SIDA badge within 4–6 weeks of employment.
• Must obtain STA for Airport Badge within 4–6 weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in CCSP-related training to search cargo and identify threats.
• Perform duties related to X-Ray, physical search, and trace detection as needed.
• Perform Handler duties while managing a trained working dog.
• Maintain training records for the handler and canine.
• Care for the assigned canine, including living arrangements and inspections.
• Ensure all job-related certifications and security clearances are maintained.
• Possess reliable transportation to transport canine and crate to the work location.
