Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a Packaging Operator to run the K-Pak machines in the ground beef department. You will ensure products are properly packaged, weighed accurately, and meet HACCP standards while supervising the shift.

This role requires a mechanical background and a high school diploma or GED. 6–12 months of industry experience is preferred; physical demands include lifting, a cold, noisy environment, and possible overtime.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Ground beef department knowledge is a plus.
• 6–12 months of industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the K-Pak machine and oversee the line.
• Direct the workforce during the shift.
• Ensure packaging is proper with no product or moisture leakage; verify correct weight.
• Prepare all pre-operational HACCP paperwork prior to start-up.
• Prepare downtime reports for the K-Pak machine.
• Attend monthly group meetings and contribute input.
