Academy of Mathematics and Science, Inc. is seeking a Music Teacher for Primary Grades to deliver standards-aligned instruction and build foundational literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking in a Glendale, AZ setting at AMS campuses.

The role emphasizes collaboration, ongoing professional growth, and data-driven decision-making to support student achievement in a high-performing Title I network. This is a full-time, on-site position with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Valid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area.
• Minimum of three (3) years of K–12 teaching experience.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
• Pass required background checks and obtain IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.
• Data-driven instructional mindset and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
• Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instructional planning and interventions.
• Build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Establish and maintain a structured, positive, high-expectations classroom environment.
• Lead PBIS and preventative intervention strategies.
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
• Participate in weekly professional development and PLCs.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to improve practices.
• Contribute to school-wide systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
• Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain home-school partnerships.
