Job summary

KIPP Memphis seeks a K–8 Math Director to lead math achievement across all campuses. This role sets the vision for rigorous instruction, builds capacity of teachers and school-based leaders, and aligns data, curriculum, and interventions to accelerate learning.

The director partners with campus teams, MTSS/RTI staff, and the academics team to ensure equitable access to high‑quality math instruction for all students, including those needing additional support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching mathematics with a record of student achievement.
• Experience coaching or leading adults (teachers/coaches) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional coaching and leadership development across K–8 campuses.
• Support curriculum implementation with fidelity and responsive adaptations.
• Lead data-driven planning, unit planning, and reteach/reassessment cycles.
• Monitor assessment results and intervention effectiveness across campuses.
• Design professional learning aligned to state standards and math goals.
• Represent math instruction in network-wide and community settings as needed.
